Here you can find information about the decision-making bodies of our university, as well as our student representatives.
Senate
The Senate is the central body of academic self-governance. It makes decisions on fundamental matters relating to research, studies, and teaching.
Responsibilities:
- Election of full-time and part-time members of the Rectorate
- Approval of structural and development plans
- Providing input on the draft budget or financial plan, university contracts and performance agreements, and job descriptions for professorships
- Making decisions regarding degree programs, university facilities, academic departments, as well as joint institutions and commissions
- Making decisions regarding the Basic Regulations and other statutes

University Council
The University Council serves as a supervisory board. It is responsible for the university’s strategic development.
It makes decisions regarding structural and development planning and proposes measures designed to enhance the university’s profile and improve its performance and competitiveness.
