Your faculty-related representation of interests
Faculty student councils perform a variety of tasks to represent students at the University of Hohenheim. There are also excursions, lectures and get-togethers.
Student councils have a long tradition at the University of Hohenheim. According to the unofficial internal view at Hohenheim, a student council consists of active students from one or more related degree programs, even if this does not correspond to the legal definition.
They organize your orientation week, and there’s no shortage of field trips, lectures, and social gatherings. You’ll find an overview of how to get in touch with them further down the page.
Agricultural Sciences Student Council
In general, all students in Agricultural Biology, Agricultural Sciences, and Renewable Resources make up the Agricultural Sciences Student Council. At Hohenheim, however, the term “student council” refers to a group of students who meet weekly to stay informed about current issues and discuss solutions. On average, we consist of 30 to 40 students from different age groups and with diverse backgrounds. This results in a very productive way of working where the load is shared among many! The main focus of our activities is representing students to the faculty. In addition, we are your first point of contact for matters related to academic organization, course selection, and similar issues. We also strive to make the Hohenheim campus and university life more attractive. For example, through lively TMS parties, our first-semester weekend, or our impromptu parties in the student council room—the atmosphere is always guaranteed!
Natural Sciences Student Council
We, the active members of the Natural Sciences Student Council, come from all semesters and degree programs offered by our faculty. We meet once a week to get involved in current university policy, discuss the situation in the individual degree programs, and address any other pending issues.
For example, we also regularly plan field trips, TMS parties, and events for our first-semesters so they can get to know their fellow students and the university.
We do our best to help shape life at the university and assist you with your problems, so feel free to come to us with your concerns! We’re always happy to welcome support from motivated and open-minded students.

Student Council for Economics and Social Sciences
We are students from various semesters who are here to support you: from committee work to first-semester mentoring, from information sessions to guest lectures. We represent all students in the fields of economics and social sciences and are your point of contact if you encounter any issues. Of course, we also host a variety of legendary parties!
