Student initiatives enrich campus life through self-organized offers by students for students. They create meeting places, support sustainable projects and enable active engagement - from sharing coffee in the café to helping with bicycle repairs.
The Cafete at the TMS is the student-run alternative to the cafeteria.
Our team of student volunteers sells you eco-friendly and fair-trade coffee, tea and hot chocolate at affordable prices. Our milk comes from the local area and is ordered for us from the Reyerhof in Möhringen; we have been sourcing our coffee and hot chocolate from the Hohenheim Ecumenical University Group for many years. At the end of the semester, we donate the proceeds to worthy projects around the world.
During term time, we are open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm – you can tell the Cafete is open by the red sign outside the TMS. We look forward to welcoming lots of coffee drinkers and anyone else who’s interested!

Is cycling just for “eco-freaks”? Are bikes slow and impractical? Do I need 27 gears and legs of steel to ride to campus?
A small project team of undergraduates and graduate students has set out to debunk these stereotypes and, through creative ideas, encourage more people to switch to bikes for their commute to campus and around campus.

UniKino is a project run by the WiSo Student Council. Several times a semester, we transform a campus lecture hall into a cinema, bringing new releases, classics, and selected favorites to the big screen.
Our goal is to bring the campus to life outside of lectures and create a space where you can enjoy a relaxed evening with friends. UniKino is truly a project by students, for students.
In addition to the movies, we offer snacks and drinks at student-friendly prices to give you the full cinema experience.
