When the past meets campus life
What is now a central meeting place for students once began as a simple barn.
Once upon a time, there was an old barn on the grounds of the University of Hohenheim. Small, unnoticed, and unassuming, it was used solely as a storage room. But in 1975, that changed: the barn was to become a communication hub for students. After renovations, it opened in 1976. The barn was given a new name: Thomas Müntzer-Scheuer—and with it, a new significance for the students.
In the years that followed, the students filled their TMS with life, encounters, and memories. In 1979, the TMS was occupied by students, and in 1982, the Caféte opened for the first time. Above all, the history of the TMS is also part of the history of the Hohenheim student body.
